Valga Glow, is a 40-hour electronic music festival held at a decommissioned R-12 USSR rocket base deep in the forests of Southern Estonia. Valga Glow brings together techno, ambient, and experimental electronic music across two stages, featuring local and international artists and transforming the former missile base into a unique site for sound, light, and community. The festival’s setting, industrial relics in contrast with forest and firelight, shapes its identity and energy, making the visuals feel both raw and alive. Contrasts between decay and glow became a defining part of the visual language, drawing from the site’s brutalist textures and the vibrant energy of the lineup to amplify Valga Glow’s distinctive world. Deliverables included a visual identity system, posters, flyers, and advertisements, social media visuals in both static and motion formats, on-site signage, and a wristband and access system.
