Research Publication
Publication Design, Editorial System, Art & Creative Direction, Visual Research, Image Editing & Composition
The Archive of Useful Things is a self-initiated research publication examining the visual and ideological landscape of countercultural magazines. Drawing from the Amiel Archive, it brings together scans of radical periodicals and feminist publications, mapping how print has been used as a space for activism, exchange, and resistance. The publication system keeps a light structure and a steady editorial rhythm, allowing the material to speak while still guiding the reader. Across the book, the collected works form a layered portrait of self-publishing, political urgency, and print as a tool for social change. Specifications: 148 × 210 mm, 289 pages. Deliverables included the full publication layout and design system, archival material curation and sequencing, typography and content structuring, and print preparation and production management.
