DEKA is an annual newspaper published by the Design Department of the Estonian Academy of Arts, bringing together work, research, and voices from across the department. Each issue combines interviews, essays, recommendations, and student-led content, offering an inside view into how design is taught, discussed, and practiced. All design disciplines within the department are represented, from graphic and product design to fashion, textile, service, and social design. Alongside editorial content, the newspaper acts as a platform for experimentation, allowing each issue to adapt in form and structure while remaining visually coherent. Deliverables included the full publication layout and design system, editorial coordination and content structuring, photo editing, and prepress preparation.
