Full visual identity for kartau.wav’s debut EP, Controlled Demolition, shaping a visual world that mirrors the project’s immersive, raw sound. The artwork brings together atmospheric textures and abstract forms, while motion pieces extend the EP into moving image, translating its sonic character into audiovisual moments. The process started by breaking down the EP’s sound into textures, shapes, movement and rhythm. We developed the visual language through image manipulation, 3D experiments, photography and motion tests, gradually narrowing these experiments into a set of recurring forms and textures. This process allowed the visuals to grow directly from the music rather than treating the artwork as a separate layer.
